the year, over 100 different festivals and annual events are put on by various local groups.

Soap Box DerbySaturday | Early June | The 2nd Wasaga Beach Scout Group will be hosting their annual Soap Box Derby. Beavers, Cubs and Scouts compete to be obstacle course champions in their custom built derby cars. Spectators are welcomed and encouraged, admission in FREE! |
Spring Sprint | Early June | Event is a 2.5km fun walk, and a 5 km run along the beautiful beach front! Wasaga Beach Public Library, 120 Glenwood Drive. ( 1 block North off of River Road West, behind the O.P.P station)

Kitefest | mid June | On Father's Day weekend, join the fun on Beach Area 1 ( main beach area-bottom of Spruce St) by coming out to the 6th Annual Kitefest. Admission is FREE. Event runs from 11a.m. until 4 p.m. Wasaga Beach Chamber of Commerce at 705-429-2247 |
Wasaga Beach Fun Run- Classic Car Event | mid June | Join the Wasaga Beach Cruisers while they host their Annual Fun Run- The car show features classic cars from 1979 or earlier. Admission is FREE |

Jazz In The Park | July & August | Tuesdays, the Town of Wasaga Beach presents the Jazz in the Park, concert series 2005. Jazz in the Park takes place on Nancy Island Historic Site, begins at 7 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. Admission is free. |
