    Built in 1965, Barrie Speedway was the first paved stock car racing facility north of Toronto, originally with just a tight 1/4 mile oval, which was widened and the banking was increased in 1999, along with upgraded specatator facilities including wheelchair accessibility. In 2004, the track was converted from a 1/4 oval into a 1/3 mile tri-oval!
