There is lots to see and do around Barrie in the city. Take a tour of the city's shoreline, either from land or by boat. You can visit a museums, lots of parks and waterfront greenspace, and activities and sports to keep anybody busy (and happy). We even have a page that has tips on hundreds of things to do with kids.

The Barrie region has lots of fascinating natural attractions. Camp at one of the national or provincial parks or check out the magnificent municipal green spaces.

There's lots to do, if you want to get out of town. There is lots to do nearby. You can explore the recreational trails in the region, some of which include the Bruce Trail, connecting Tobermory with Niagara Falls, and some are part of the Trans-Canada Trail system. You can also check out the role of First Nations in the area, at with several historical attractions in Midland or by visiting Christian Island near Pentanguishene.

There are many accommodation options in the area, from first class hotels, to motels, beds & breakfast, long-term accommodation, wilderness lodges and camping.
